3. My skincare-buff friend recommended this SPF 50 last summer and I’ve used it ever since. I've got dry skin, she's got acne-prone skin and we both love it. Lightweight and non-greasy, £15.50

4. Black mascara sometimes feels too hard for everyday. I've heard such good things about this new launch from Lisa Eldridge, £23.20

For your summer parenting kit

1. I've recently been introduced to Pure Earth Collection which makes very cute plastic-free swimwear, £34

2. The right size for two kids and with a padded bottom if your garden is a patio/deck. Buy now before the next heatwave is announced and they all sell out, £19.99

3. By far the most painless way to apply suncream to kids, £7.98

4. A chicer than average picnic blanket that has a waterproof back and can live in the bottom of the buggy all summer long. My son’s friend peed on mine and it washed well on a wool cycle, £89

A couple of brands to have on your radar…

My designer friend Elizabeth has just launched Palome – a new label inspired by her hometown of Paris that uses leftover fabrics from luxury fashion houses. Pieces are super chic, real-life wearable and won't bankrupt you (think £70 for grade A cashmere crew-necks. Yes!). The small batch model means pieces sell fast so it's worth signing up to be notified of new drops. These jeans, this cardi and this silk dress are on my wish list.

Maternity wear label Seraphïne has just relaunch with a new and improved look. The jeans and swimwear are well worth browsing if you've currently got a bump.
