The nursery stomach bug has sabotaged my work plans this week, so I'm keeping it short and sweet with an edit of the most gorgeous, breezy and super easy summer co-ords that you can chuck on and go about your day in. Just add sandals and sunglasses.
Summer stripes
I want to be this woman! On holiday! I can imagine wearing these joyful stripes fresh out of the shower with wet hair and a beer. Or, more likely, in the park with an iced coffee and these amazing sandals.
Hot red
Why am I, for the first time in years, suddenly into the idea of wearing long skirts? The combination of low-key pleats and nineties shell-top is so chic and sexy. And the colour! Even when tired, frazzled and beyond the point of caring, this duo would make you look and feel pulled together. Flip flops for day, strappy black flats or a mesh pump for evening.
Hush, top £60 and skirt £100
Boxer set
There's something so satisfying about a blue and white boxer stripe. Great over a bikini on hols - or with canvas plimsolls when nipping to the shop. A great postpartum/breastfeeding option, too. I’d probs wear the shirt untucked.
Arket, shirt £47 and shorts £37
Simple black
One of my best cheats for when I'm feeling far from chic is to dress in all black. It's such a great short-cut to making your outfit feel cohesive and polished. Obviously black is a devil for showing up smeared snot/spat out toothpaste/porridge splats - but nothing a quick baby-wipe can't fix. The back of this top is so pretty and the culottes are a great base for multiple summer lewks.
COS, top £65 and culottes £75
And a bonus one for the kids!
I was recently introduced to Mumzers, a new kids brand that makes super cute (and machine washable!) matching shorts sets for ages 1-8 years. (£75)
Date for your diary
The second GAP x Doên collection lands this Thursday (22nd) featuring a really lovely selection of signature shapes, including the stretchy shirred dresses perfect for pregnancy and postpartum. No doubt it will be a quick sell out, so when you're up early with the kids, treat yourself to a browse…
Imagine this gingham dress (£180) with a big denim shirt and Converse.
One more thing…
Another new launch! With Nothing Underneath has made a white T-shirt and it's an absolute belter. Beautiful cotton that hangs, rather than clings and a perfectly classic boyfriend shape. It fits true to size - this is the 10. (£55)
That's all for now. You're doing great, Frankie x

The unique horror of taking kids swimming
Last Saturday morning, I sat on a hard plastic bench and watched a woman scoop vomit out of a swimming pool with a little blue net. Fifteen or so goggle-clad kids lined the sides looking on, knees pulled up to their chins so as not to dunk a toe in the contaminated water. Fortunately the smell of chlorine was so strong I couldn't detect the scent of sic…
